Brandi's Reflection / by Evey Sekajipo

MA has definitely had a profound affect on my life. One of the greatest lessons that they taught me was my value to the world around me as a young, intelligent, and beautiful AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN. Being a part of MA allowed me to establish my own relationship with God without feeling pushed or coerced into it. It not only allowed me to build spiritual connections with others but it also became a place that I could just talk without fear or worry that I was being judged. Every single mentor and member helped in some way to mold me into the person that I am today. Through them all I learned that it is okay to be myself no matter how different or alike I am than others. The impact that MA has had on me was and always will continue to be a tremendous one and I can never imagine my life without them.
